Master Programme at the
Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies
Become a comprehensively trained EU Expert
Gain profound theoretical and practical knowledge of European Union institutions, policies, decision making procedures, politics, economics and law in a unique master programme!
Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, the programme combines courses in multiple
academic fields. Study trips and specialised practical seminars allow you direct insights into the work of EU-institutions, as you meet experts and practitioners. You will put your knowledge into practice in simulations and moot courts and engage in negotiations of current issues as labour migration, free trade agreements or climate change, supervised by teams of teachers from different fields as well as experts
from outside the university.
Being English-taught, the programme furthermore allows for an international educational environment and enhances your international qualifications and language competences. That focus is additionally deepened by attractive opportunities for studying abroad, including the chance to acquire a double degree at one of our partner universities in Rome or Olomouc.
Combining Practice and Research
Climate change, labour mobility, financial markets, free trade, the fight against terrorism – all of these pressing issues are addressed by the European Union. This Master programme provides you with the core knowledge of the legal basis, the political environment and the economic effects of European Union decision making.
You will work on practical cases in simulations and moot courts, will meet European decision makers and get the chance to discuss current topics with the most renowned scholars in the field.
